Plus Points (+)
Hello friends, we already watched lots of movies like Udaan (2010), Stanley Ka Dabba (2011), Nil Battey Sannata (2015), and more, but director Ken Karunas, who is the lead actor in this movie, goes one step ahead. He now comes with Youth, a comedy, drama, and romantic movie where in the ending you get a social message.
Youth movie target audiences are only Gen Z and Generation Alpha because in this movie you see a son whose mom loves him more but dad judges him based on his marks in exams, but he is very popular in his class due to his hairstyle and funny nature.
First half is the mixture of comedy, drama, and romance, where Ken Karunas and his friends' comedy timing are the real strength of the movie. Because everyone loves comedy movies, it makes them stress-free in their busy lives. Back to the topic, the second half is the combination of drama and some emotional moments where G. V. Prakash Kumar's background music is good enough.
Being popular through Vaathi (2021), where he plays the role of Young Muthu, and Viduthalai Part 2 (2024), where he plays the role of Karuppan, Ken Karunas, who is the actor, director, composer, playback singer, and lyricist in Tamil cinema, comes with youth. In the first half, his performance is outstanding due to his comedy timing and romantic scenes, but in the second half, the movie goes into ups and downs.
Minus Points (-)
First half is very engaging and interesting compared to the second half. Comedy and romantic scenes are the real strength of the movie.
