Synopsis
Angammal is the story of Angammal, a hardworking widow who runs a small milk business to support her two sons. She lives in Tirunelveli village in Tamil Nadu. Her young son, Pavalam, returns as a qualified doctor and tries to introduce his girlfriend to the family, but Pavalam is disappointed when he sees that his mother is still wearing traditional attire without a blouse. Does Angammal change her lifestyle under the pressure of his son or not? And who is Sudalai?

Nowadays the audience wants something new instead of cliched old-school drama and action movies where the hero kills 7 to 8 goons in one punch and produces a tornado with his legs and more. To solve this problem, director Vipin Radhakrishnan comes up with Angammal, a drama movie where a son wants to change his mother's lifestyle, but his mother refuses his decision.
The first half is a mixture of drama and a few emotional scenes where Geetha Kailasam's performance as Angammal is next level; she is the central part of the movie, which means the whole movie revolves around her character, while on the other side, the second half is the combination of family drama and some emotional scenes where Geetha Kailasam and Saran Shakthi's performances are the backbones of this movie.
After giving her solid performances in Oho Enthan Baby (2025) and Idli Kadai (2025), Geetha Kailasam once again appears in Angammal, where she plays the role of Angammal. In the first half, her natural acting and dialogue delivery are next level, while in the second half, Mohammed Maqbool and Mansoor's BGM adds an extra layer to her role as a mother.

The first half is very interesting and engaging compared to the second half because what an audience wants is a film like a family drama with a little bit of romance and emotional scenes, and everything is available in the first half.
