Synopsis
Kalvan is the story of two thieves, Kemban and Suri who live in one of the villages that is situated on the fringes of the Sathyamangalam forest. ( Tamil Nadu ) . But climex comes in movie when he fall in love with Balamani .

After success of Rebel Telugu movie , G. V. Prakash Kumar comes with Kalvan Tamil movie where he is in lead actor and play role of Kemban The biggest strength of movie is its unpredictable and confusing story , where first half of movie complete revolve around day to day life of Kemban and Suri life in Village and making movie more interesting for audience , Director P V Shankar adding taste of love between Kemban and Balamani . In the beginning of movie we thinks that movie is all about fight between Elephants and villager's but we wrong. As we discussed about movie biggest strength is its unpredictable plot and confusing story.
Second half of movie is more interesting for audience who loves Action, Thriller and Suspense . Their is no wrong if I say that whole movie depends on shoulder's of G.V.Prakash Kumar and Ivana . While other side supporting cast only appears few Times on screen like village chief and village people, forest officials, forest guards are more .
G V Prakash is a lead actor and play role of Kemban . His acting is good in first half but due to dramatic scenes and lack of action and suspence his performance fails to attract audience attention towards him , but in second half is acting and combination of funny and serious dialogues steal the show.
Climex comes in movie when he falls in love with Balamani but she don't like him , because she and her family wants person who have job security. As we knows that by profession he is an musical composer and playback singer but still his acting and unique dialogues style grabs audience attention till the end .
Ivana is lead actress in movie and play role of Balamani nurse in village of Tamil Nadu . As we knows that she did her best in many Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam movies but in this Kalvan movie her performance is outstanding. She appears on screen middle of first half with unique entery style and background music of Revaa adding 5 Star in her beauty.
She attracts the fans with her smiling face. The biggest asset of her in this movie is natural acting, she has given excellent performances in first half where she rejects the Kalvan love . In real life is very beautiful and soft hearted girl. back to topic in second half of movie she shows her bold avataar towards Kemban when he do something illegal in forest.
Suri who is in supporting cast and play role of Dheena best friend of Kemban . Comedy is the most essential part of every movie without comedy film looks with full moon with light. Their is no wrong if we says that Dheena is the yogi Babu of Kalvan movie . His jokes find the mark on most occasions and that is another reason why Kalvan works.
Minus Points (-)
The biggest minus point in this movie is poor CGI . Second half of movie when tiger scence occurs we are clearly see that CGI is very poor in movie . Due to over dramatic first half of movie is less interesting compared to second half. Suri who is the backbone of comedy in this Tamil movie is limited comedy scenes in second half . Some music of G V Prakash Kumar is not works as intended.
Tecnical Aspects
Director P V Shankar invest more than 1.5 years on this movie . Which have limited negative points like ( "Poor CGi" ) and I really impressed by Director Shankar's work. While other side Cinematography and Dialogues given by P V Shankar himself. Music is the most important part of every movie where G V Prakash Kumar play an important role and background music given by Revaa .
Conclusion
Kalvan movie is the story of Kemban and Suri . Where we see struggle of Kemban to get job in Sathyamangalam forest as an forest guard. There are two main reasons why Kalvan movie performance very well on box office collection First is all about lead actors --Bharathiraja, G V Prakash, Ivana and Dheena deliver fantastic performances that are highly enjoyable. The second is the message the film looks to put across. Overall I recommend Kalvan Tamil movie to everyone .
