Synopsis
Captain Miller movie started when India was under British rule. Agneeswara & his mother living in local Village of Tamil Nadu . Due to Easan belongs to tribal caste no one give him job , So He decide to join British Army to earn money and respect. How easan become captain Miller ? , It is good idea to join British army when his own brother is the part of independence moment ?

Once again Arun Matheswaran proves that , If you cast popular hero in film and movie story is solid movie automatically becomes super - duper hit and breaks all box office collection records . Actor Dhanush personality in other movies is cute & innocent guy but in this movie you see new personality of Dhanush like Ranbir kapoor in Animal Movie . First half is the mixture of action & adventure. While other side , Second half filled with Action, Drama and revenge . Sir Sivarajkumar & Sundeep also done brilliant cameos which creates wow moments throughout the film , While other side Priyanka Arul Mohan lead actress in movie acting is good & dancing steps are unique . After Jailer movie success Shiva Rajkumar appear in this film , Where he play an important role of Sengannan elder brother role of Agneeswara ( Dhanush ) . Audience appricates his acting in some scenes of movies . While other side Sundeep Kishan as a Captain Rafiq performance & dialogue's are good.

If you're are the fan of Dhanush you have lots of expectations to your hero . Dhanush entry style is not unique . In the middle of the movie lost it's core plot other unuseful seens highlighted by director Arun Matheswaran . Some fans of dhanush easily predict the story of movie that's reason no suspense found in this film . In the first half movie runs slowly & dramatic where we see no comedy and little bit action but in second half movie is the mixture of action & thriller where G V Prakash's background music play an important role to create suspence . Several characters acting is good enough . But director only highlight Dhanush.
Sivarajkumar who is supporting actor have only 3 scenes in the movie there is nothing special in sivarajkumar performance . Some critics said that jailer movie climax is far better for sivarajkumar rather than Captain Miller.
There is very low emotional and goosebumps scenes which is biggest minu point of film, But the villain character should have more scope . There is no wrong , If we say Dhanush single-handedly carried the whole film on his shoulders from the first shot until the last.
Technical Aspects
Arun Matheswaran is popular director and screenwriter , who mainly works in Tamil film industry , he worked in many popular movies like Rocky (2021) , Irudhi Suttru (2016) and more. So he knows that what's audience wants to him . Before captain Miller movie he mainly focus on low budget movies. But now he comes with Dhanush , where movie budget is ₹50 crore , I appreciate hard work of Director Arun Matheswaran and his team to make this type of movie which reveals dark history of India but due to lack of creativity in first half movie becomes target of Tedious , but we see improvement in second half. In recent interview with Tamil Guardian director Arun Matheswaran said that he first got the idea of making a film on this topic when his uncle, who was in the military, narrated to him about this incident. "I was young motivated me a lot to make this film .
Cinematography of Siddhartha Nuni is on top notch where guns and the bomb blasts looking very real in second half, The action sequence are very well planned and executed but some fight sequence should be written it could more engaged , G V Prakash's Background scores and songs play very important role , where movie bgm felt really rich and it elevates the scene a lot and the last editing is superb done by Nagooran Ramachandran .
Conclusion
Captain Miller movie is based on true incident that took place in 1987, during the Sri Lankan civil war during the Tamil Eelam liberation struggle, alluding to the LTTE's first Black Tiger attack. If you are the fan of Dhanush I think Captain Miller best for you because in this movie you see Dhanush new and unique avtar and where his way of speaking solid dialogues play an important role , First half is slow and Dramatic where we see lack of emotional depth but second is more interesting compared to First one .
