Synopsis 

Madharasi is a story of Virat and his friend Chirag. They join hands with the syndicate group to bring guns to Tamil Nadu. An officer named Premnath from NIA tries to stop them, but he and his team cannot stop them. Then Premnath meets a man called Raghu Ram, who is very sad and wants to end his life. Premnath takes Raghu Ram into his team. But who is Raghu Ram? What is his link with Virat? And why did Premnath choose him?

After getting mixed reviews from Sikandar (2025), A. R. Murugadoss once again comes with Madharasi, an action thriller movie where Sivakarthikeyan, Vidyut Jammwal, and Rukmini Vasanth appear in the lead cast, and Biju Menon, Vikranth, and Shabeer Kallarakkal appear in the supporting cast. 

Madharasi movie is special, because no-one sees Vidyut Jammwal in a negative role, and in this movie his action and dialogue delivery are next level compared to other co-stars.

The first half is a mixture of action and dramatic scenes where Rukmini Vasanth's acting is top-notch and Sivakarthikeyan's dialogue delivery and action scenes are excellent, while thesecond half totally focuses on Vidyut Jammwal's action scenes. If you are an action lover, I recommend this Madharasi because first, Anirudh Ravichander's background music is excellent, and second, Vidyut Jammwal appears in a negative role. 

After the success of Amaran (2025), Sivakarthikeyan once again comes with Madharasi, whereinthe first half is humorous, and the serious moments with Biju Menon are watchable.

The best thing about director A. R. Murugadoss is that all his films are given a social message. The same with Madharasi, in this movie A. R. Murugadoss's message is all about "the harmful effects of gun culture in our country, where innocent people are dying without any crime."

After the failure of Crakk (2024), Vidyut Jammwal is this time using his luck playing a negative role in Madharasi, where his stunt scenes, particularly in the second, are mind-blowing.

Minus Points (-)

No doubt A. R. Murugadoss is the most talented director in the Tamil industry, which gives back-to-back super hit movies like Thuppakki (2012) and Ghajini (2008), but the first half of Madharasi is filled with way too many songs, which is a little bit disappointing.
