Synopsis 

They Call Him OG is the story of Satya Dada, who owns a port in Mumbai. Everything goes well until some powerful people, including Mirajkar, try to take control of it and rule the city. One container at the port is very special, and everyone works hard to get it. The real twist begins when Omi Bhau, a Mumbai mafia don, wants the container at any cost. To face this threat, Satya Dada recalls Ojas Gambheera back to Mumbai. Ojas, now living with his wife, Dr. Kanmani, holds a mysterious past. Who is Ojas Gambheera, and what is his connection with Satya Dada?

After Run Raja Run (2014) and Saaho (2019), Sujeeth Reddy once again comes with his third film, They Call Him OG, where he casts Pawan Kalyan, Emraan Hashmi, and Priyanka Mohan in the lead cast, while on the other side, Prakash Raj, Sriya Reddy, and Arjun Das appear in supporting roles. 

First half starts in the 1940s in Japan, where action thriller and drama lead the whole movie. Some scenes in the first half are only for true Pawan Kalyan fans, like how he protects Satya Dada's port from the mafia, and the fight between Pawan Kalyan and Abhimanyu Singh in the police station is watchable, while the second half is good in terms of drama and suspense, where Imran Hashmi steals the show with his style and swag in a negative role.

After a mixed response from Hari Hara Veera Mallu (2025), Konidela Sri Kalyan Kumar, aka Pawan Kalyan, once again appears in They Call Him OG, where he plays the Ojas Gambheera role. Once again, Pawan Kalyan proves that he is the king of action and drama, which we clearly see in this movie. In the first half, his performance is outstanding, like a loyal son who protects his father and his business at any cost, while in the second half, his action scenes with a sword are next level and very engaging.

After playing a negative role in Tiger 3 (2024), Emraan Hashmi once again appears in They Call Him OG as Omi Bhau, a Mumbai mafia don. Where in the first half his appearance is limited, but in the second half he grabs audience attention with his solid dialogue delivery and mind games, while on the other side Thaman S's background music is the backbone of this movie.

The first half is more engaging and interesting compared to the second half. No doubt Sujeeth Reddy is the most talented director in the South Indian film industry, but in this film, They Call Him OG, the first half is very engaging, but in the second half, the movie carries some duller moments than the first.
