Gandhi talks about the story of two persons' lives, and both lives are opposite to each other. One is Mohan Boseman, once a wealthy real estate developer, but his life totally changes when his wife and daughter die in a plane crash. All investors who invest in his real estate put their hands up, while others side with Mahadev, a man submerged in relentless misfortune. He lives in a cramped chawl with his mother. What happens when both come face-to-face?
Plus Points (+)
After giving Hajari (2020) and Respect (2021), director Kishor Pandurang Belekar once again comes back with Gandhi Talks, which is a zero spoken dialogues and dark comedy movie where Vijay Sethupathi, Arvind Swamy, Aditi Rao Hydari, Siddharth Jadhav, and more appear on the lead screen.
Hello friends, if you've watched the Bollywood movie Barfi!, which was released in 2012, Gandhi Talks falls in the same category. The first half takes more time to introduce characters, where Vijay Sethupathi and Arvind Swamy both share equal screen time, while most of the second half is spent in Arvind Swamy's bungalow, where both come face to face.
Here I thank director Kishor Pandurang, who makes this type of movie, which initially entertains you, and in the ending it gives you a life-changing lesson. For your information, I'm telling you that director Kishor Pandurang is very active in the Marathi cinema. Gandhi talks about his first movie, which was released in the hindi language. On the other side, A. R. Rahman's background music is the backbone of this movie.
After playing the Bolt Kannan role in Ace (2025) and the Aagasaveeran role in Thalaivan Thalaivii (2025), Vijaya Gurunatha Sethupathi Kalimuthu, aka Vijay Sethupathi, once again appears in Director Kishor Pandurang Belekar's Gandhi Talks, where he is playing the Mahadev role; in the first half his performance is decent, but in the second half he steals the show with his expressions and body language. On the other side, this time Arvind Swamy thinks out of the box and chooses his role wisely.
Minus Points (-)
The first half is a mixture of drama and some interesting scenes, while the second half is a mixture of drama and suspense. Gandhi Talks is this type of movie, which is next to unpredictable.
