Plus Points (+)
Hello friends, if you are looking for movies about college romance, drama, and politics like Dear Comrade (2019), Kabir Singh (2019), and Raanjhanaa (2013), you are in the right place today. I am talking about Red Label (2026), a college romance and political drama movie directed by K. R. Vinoth. After giving back-to-back movie dramas and romance movies like Adho Andha Paravai Pola (2022) and Ennamo Nadakkudhu (2014), this time director K. R. Vinoth comes with Red Label, where Lenin, Azmin Yasar, R. V. Udayakumar, and Munishkanth appear in the lead cast.
First half takes time to introduce all the characters hero, goons, lover, and parents but the second half is only for those audience members who love drama, suspense, and mystery, because when you are watching its first half, you think that it's a political college romance drama, but in the second half, when a death occurs, the whole movie becomes crime, thriller, and drama, and the best thing about this movie is you can't predict what's happening next.
Lenin as Kathir is outstanding as a former student union leader. In the first half, his dialogue delivery is decent, but he shines in the second half when the movie becomes a crime thriller and drama. On the other side, Ramdoss, aka Munishkanth, steals the show with his comedy timing, especially in the first half of the movie.
Minus Points (-)
Second half is very interesting and engaging compared to the first one. Because crime, thriller, and revenge dramas are on the front seat.
