synopsis
Kolaiseval is the story of Kali, who deeply loves his wife Anu. She now becomes pregnant, so Kali and Anu both decide to visit the temple of the Kulatheivam, both faces. Many hurdles and finally reaching the temple, but a twist comes in the story when the puja is over. Then a crowd surrounds them and starts slashing them in a series of attacks. Why does the crowd surround them? And what does Kali do to save his wife?

Kolaiseval is this type of movie where you see lots of twists. Yes, it is correct that the budget of this movie is low, but still this movie is gaining popularity through mass thriller and drama and a unique storyline.
Here I am, given thanks to director VR. Thudhivaanan and his team are making this type of movie, which entertains you, and in the ending it gives you a social message.
First half is the mixture of drama and romance where Kalaiyarasan's romantic scenes with Deepa Balu are awesome, and Shanthan's background music is the real strength of the movie. The second half is the combination of drama, suspense, and action scenes where the director creates curiosity about how Kali will save his wife, Anu, from the crowd who wants to kill her.
After playing the role of Kunjara in Devara: Part 1 (2024) and Murugan in Thandakaaranyam (2025), Kalaiyarasan Harikrishnan, aka, once again appears in Kolaiseval, where he plays the role of Kali. The first half, his romantic scenes with Deepa Balu, is the core part of the movie, while in the second half, he becomes a war machine who kills everyone who harms his wife or family.
