Synopsis
Aranmanai 4 is the story of Saravanan , an honest lawyer his life takes a dark turn when he learns that his sister Shivani committed suicide and his brother in law dies a mysterious way in a forest. What is hidden truth of forest and is she suicide or murdered ?

Sundar. C is mainly popular for horror movies , you can't see him any random comedy, drama movie, He choose movie according to his personality. After success of Aranmanai franchise, now he comes with Aranmanai 4 along with Tamanna Bhatia , Raashii Khanna and Santhosh Prathap in lead role.
First half is decent and confusing for most of audience , Because it is strategy of Director to creating curiosity in audience mind where technical team has taken extreme care regarding the visuals and production values. All the dots are nicely connected in the second half , where Hip Hop Tamizha scary background music play an important role .
Director Sundar. C strengths is horror movies that's reason due to high demand from Hindi audience Aranmanai was dubbed in Hindi and launched with Raj Mahal Name which later became popular among hindi audiences.
Sundar C is a master in Tamil cinema , He knows audience taste, so he comes with unique story and solid background music, to adding taste of comedy he cast yogi babu , Motta Rajendran and Santhanam . While other side Santhosh Prathap , Raashii Khanna and Tamannaah Bhatia are succesed in creating suspence in pre interval .

Yogi Babu , Kovai Sarala and Santhanam Paalswamy lead the first half with their unique and natural comedy dialogues. While other side Motta Rajendran appears limited times on screen
After success of kanchana horror comedy movie, Kovai Sarala appears in Aranmanai 4 as an supporting cast along with Santhanam Paalswamy , Where her comedy magic spreads everywhere. While other side Santhanam Paalswamy performance is decent.
Music is the most important part of movie, where Hip Hop Tamizha music score is satisfying but his scary background music adding taste of horror and fear .
Sundar C who is lead actor and play role of Shiva Shankar performance is wonderful as an lawyer, he himself director of this movie, so he already knows that what's audience wants to him .
First half his performance is decent where movie revolver around family Drama like Tamannaah who play role of Saravanan sister marriage to against her family wish and some comedy and action scenes . But climex comes in second half when he knows that his sister not committed suside , it was an murdered where his solid dialogues grabs audience attention towards him.
Some people's thinks that Sundar C is old school hero but it is not true, Because in Tamil industry he is only actor and director who puts hands in horror movies. After given back to back success in Aranmanai franchise , he become most popular director in recent times.
After given solid dance performance in jailer movie song "Kaavaalaa" , Tamannaah bhatia now appears in Aranmanai 4 as an lead cast, where she play role of Shivani sister of Saravanan , It is the first time when we see her in evil soul role , where she showcases a mother intent on protecting her children at any cost and on the other, she plays a fearsome spirit looking to destroy anybody looking to cause them harm.
Raashi Khanna as an Dr. Maaya has a very limited where She doesn’t have much to do but still her performance is wonderful, After long time ago , she appears on silver screen .
Kovai Sarala , Yogi Babu , VTV Ganesh , Rajendran , Delhi Ganesh and other supportive cast did the needed.

The main issue with Aranmanai 4 is unwanted comedy tracks. Tamannaah bhatia who is very talented actress in Tamil , Telugu and Bollywood film industry but her performance in second half is little bit disappointing in terms of her evil soul role. Raashi Khanna who play role Dr. Maaya not adding any type of value in film.
Yogi babu and motto Rajendran are very popular comedian in Tamil and Telugu flim industry , but second half their performance not works as intended. But they attracts majority of audience towards theaters through their comedy dialogues.
Just like the other films in the Aranmanai franchise Aranmanai 4 nothing unique to offer. The plot are very similar to pervious films. While other side Fenny Oliver editing in second half is disappointing in terms of Tamannaah role .
Technical Aspects
Director Sundar. C has once again picked a routine story , where I appreciate horror element in Film, Director trying to do something new with story script , so he cast Raashi Khanna in lead cast but due to given limited role she has nothing to do much .
Casting popular comedian in film is very smart discussion taken by him, but due to bad writing comedy portions becomes irritating for majority audience .
While other side The background score by Hip Hop Tamizha is decent and cinematography done by E. Krishnasamy, and grand production values are the biggest assets of the film. While editing done by Fenny Olive ,
Conclusion
Overall Aranmanai 4 is a comedy, horror movie, where first half is mixture of Family Drama , Comedy and some action scenes, while other side second half is more interesting compared to first half . Where Horror and Suspence leads the show.
