Plus Points (+)

After giving back-to-back superhit movies for a long time, like Tanu Weds Manu (2011), Raanjhanaa (2013), and Tanu Weds Manu: Returns (2015), now director Aanand L. Rai once again comes with Tere Ishk Mein, where Dhanush and Kriti Sanon are in the lead cast.

When I was watching this movie, I suddenly remembered the movie Raanjhanaa (2013), and many fans say that Tere Ishk Mein recalls Raanjhanaa's memory, or some say it is Raanjhanaa 2, because in Bollywood, Dhanush is popular for two things: first, for the Why This Kolaveri Di song, and second, for the movie Raanjhanaa.

First half is a mixture of drama, comedy, and some romantic scenes between Dhanush and Kriti Sanon. Here I appreciate director Aanand L. Rai's hard work to make this movie, which attracts the young generation, especially those who are newly in a relationship, because the majority of the first half is filled with romantic and dramatic scenes, while the second half is only for those who like emotional ending movies, because the second half is a perfect combination of drama and emotional scenes.

After giving back-to-back blockbuster super hit movies like Kuberaa (2025) and Idli Kadai (2025), Dhanush once again appears in Aanand L. Rai's Tere Ishq Mein in the lead male cast, where he plays the role of Shankar Gurukkal. In the first half, his performance is like Dr. Kabir Rajdheer Singh and Dr. Arjun Reddy, while in the second half, his performance is excellent, which makes you emotional, and if you are soft-hearted like me, there is a 90% chance that you will cry.

AR Rahman’s songs and background music are the backbone of the movie, while on the other side, cinematographer Tushar Kanti Ray is next level, especially in fighter jet scenes.

Minus Points (-)

First half is very interesting and engaging compared to the second half because in the first everything is already available; we expected Dhanush-like drama, emotions, and romance.
