Synopsis
The Girlfriend is a story of Bhooma Devi, a simple and kind-hearted girl. She comes to Hyderabad to study for her M.A. in English. In the same college, there is a science student named Vikram. They become good friends and soon start a relationship. But later, Bhooma realizes that she has fallen into a trap. What happens next and how Bhooma escapes from it

Hello friends, we already watched lots of romantic relationship movies like 96 (2018), Hridayapoorvam (2025), Geetha Govindam (2018), and more, but this time director Rahul Ravindran comes with The Girlfriend, a toxic relationship movie where a story of how an innocent girl is trapped in a toxic relationship and how she escapes it.
From this movie, director Rahul Ravindran points out how a thousands of girls are trapped in toxic relationships, and at the end of this movie, you see a social message that touches your heart. It doesn't matter if you are a male or female, because this movie is based on emotion not logic.
If you love action and thriller movies, like Till, I recommend this movie to you, because in the first half you see many action scenes where Dheekshith Shetty performs like Shahid Kapoor in Kabir Singh and Vijay Deverakonda in Arjun Reddy, while the second half is only for Rashmika Mandanna's true fans, because her performance and dialogue delivery are next level.
After giving back-to-back superhit performances in Kuberaa (2025) and Chhaava (2025), once again Rashmika Mandanna proves why she is the national crush of India. Now she appears in The Girlfriend (2025), where her performance is outstanding as she portrays how a middle-class and innocent girl gets into a relationship with the wrong guy, from whom she escapes. It is a totally inspiring movie for those trapped in the same kind of relationship.

No doubt The Girlfriend is an inspiring and wonderful movie on toxic relationships, but there are many scenes in this film that are not possible in reality, while on the other side, the first half is good and interesting, but the second half is slow-paced, and the ending becomes predictable.
