Plus Points (+)
Watching undercover agent movies like Crossing the Bridge, which is made of bamboo, and when weight comes, it will bend—same case with the Leader movie, because when action scenes come, you suddenly forget your office or school work and only focus on the screen. In the past, there were thousands of movies based on spies where undercover agents kill goons and expose illegal activities without revealing their identities, movies like Sardar (2022), Vivegam (2017), Thupparivaalan (2017), and more. But director R. S. Durai Senthilkumar, who is popular for Pattas (2020) and Garudan (2024), once again comes with Leader, where action, thriller, and drama are sitting in the driver's seat.
First half is slow-paced and interesting, where we see action, drama, and father-daughter emotional moments; for a daughter's safety, the father crossing all limits, while the second half is the mixture of drama, suspense, and a past flashback of the hero, where Ghibran Vaibodha's background music is the backbone of the movie.
Being popular through The Legend (2022), Saravanan Yogarathinam, aka Legend Saravanan, once again comes back with the Leader movie, where he plays the role of Sakthivel. In the first half his performance is decent, but the slow pace makes this movie a little bit tedious, but the second half is only for pure action lovers, where action, drama, and suspense are the lead emotions.
Minus Points (-)
Second half comes with action, drama, and suspense, where Ghibran Vaibodha's background music is the backbone of the movie, while the first half is the combination of drama and suspense.
