He soon becomes Colonel Fateh Singh Lakhawat, where he meets Colonel Vikrant Kaul, chief of R&AW. With the permission of Vikrant Kaul, Colonel Fateh Singh Lakhawat starts a secret mission called Alpha, where he injects an alpha serum into soldiers' bodies that makes them super soldiers. He steals a body, girl, from the hospital and experiments on her. What's the result of the experiment, and who are Sita and Durga, and what's their connection to Colonel Vikrant Kaul?
Plus Points (+)
Hello friends, if you are from the North Indian side, I am 100% sure that you have watched movies from the spy universe of Yashraj Productions in your life, like Ek Tha Tiger (2012), War (2019), Pathaan (2023), War 2 (2025), and more. The best thing about those movies is that they are male-dominated movies, but Alpha (2026) is the only movie from the spy universe of Yashraj Productions that is a female-dominated movie, where Alia Bhatt and Sharvari are both female lead actresses in this movie, while Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor are lead actors later overshadowed by the female lead actresses after the interval.
Some scenes are very engaging in the first half, for example, Bobby Deol speaking Haryanvi.
Anil Kapoor's wife is dead, and Sita rises. Because other scenes only connect the dots of movies, if the editor removes them, it won't impact the movie story, while the second half is only for Alia Bhatt fans because here you are watching her new avatar, a fighter who wants to take revenge to become Colonel Fateh Singh Lakhawat.
Sharvari as Durga has lots of potential, but in this movie her screen presence is limited; in this movie she is the perfect combination of beauty and action.
After a mixed response from Jigra (2024), Alia Bhatt now appears in Alpha, where she is playing the role of Sita. She is in the lead role, and the whole movie's story and characters revolve around her. She is good in dialogue delivery but bad in action scenes. When you are watching her action scenes, you clearly see that she copies some fighting scenes from Hrithik Roshan.
Anil Kapoor as Colonel Vikrant Kaul and Chief of R&AW and Bobby Deol as Colonel Fateh Singh Lakhawat are both good in the first half, but in the second half, Anil Kapoor's scenes are very limited, and the scenes are like father and daughter scenes, for example, how she protects him from Colonel Fateh Singh Lakhawat and more, but here I appreciate Bobby Deol's acting, especially in the second half. Yes, it is correct that his dialogue delivery is not so good, but his action scenes steal the show.
Minus Points (-)
Hrithik Roshan's cameo appearance as Major Kabir Dhaliwal is like you're watching Koi... Mil Gaya (2003) has Jadoo scenes, and his action scenes where he stops bullets in air look like they're inspired by The Matrix (1999).
Anil Kapoor, who did a good performance in Subedaar (2026), in this movie becomes a father who lost his wife after the birth of Sita and Durga. If the director gives him more freedom to express his character, especially in the second half of the movie, it will be good for the film.
Bobby Deol, who came back with Animal (2023) with Ranveer Kapoor, is now in Alpha. He is working with his wife, Alia Bhatt. He is literally a brilliant actor; in the first half, his performance is excellent as Colonel Fateh Singh Lakhawat, but in the second half, his performance is too poor due to the weak story.
