Plus Points (+)
Hello friends, Director Vijay Ranganathan is new to Tamil cinema. Oh Butterfly is his first movie, so let's see how this movie is. For your information, I tell you that Oh Butterfly is based on the butterfly effect, which tells A small or almost invisible variation causes bigger effects in the world. Let me be clear: Oh Butterfly is not a sci-fi movie; it is a romance, drama, and suspense movie where Nivedhithaa Sathish, Ciby Chandran, Attul, and Nassar appear in the lead cast.
First half is the mixture of drama and romance, where most of the movie is spent in Gauri's home. Here I appreciate director Vijay Ranganathan and his team who make this type of movie, which talks about hidden secrets in married life and not understanding their married parent, while the second half is the combination of drama, romance, and thriller; you literally say what's happening next and why Gauri does this and more.
If you are new in a relationship or willing to come, I recommend this movie to you because here director Vijay Ranganathan majority of the time focuses on understanding in relationships and loyalty, not just money and fame.
After giving solid performances in Captain Miller (2024) and Minmini (2024), Nivedhithaa Sathish once again appears in Oh Butterfly, where she plays the role of Gauri. In the first half, her performance is outstanding, while in the second half, her solid dialogue delivery and romantic scenes are the real strength of the movie.
Minus Points (-)
First half comes with drama and romance, while the second half is the mixture of drama, thriller, and suspense where Vedharaman Sankaran's cinematography is top-notch.
