Plus points (+)
After giving back-to-back blockbuster movies like Soorarai Pottru (2020) and Putham Pudhu Kaalai (2020), now director Keerthiswaran once again comes with Dude, a romance and comedy movie where Pradeep Ranganathan and Mamitha Baiju appear in the lead cast.
The first half is the perfect mixture of romance, comedy, and drama, where Pradeep Ranganathan's comedic performance steals the whole show, while the second half is only for those audiences who love a little bit of seriousness in a movie, but here we see some comedy and dramatic moments.
Sai Abhyankkar’s music shapes the movie, especially in the first half, but his background music is the backbone of the movie. On the other side, the cinematography of Niketh Bommi is top-notch; he captured detail-to-detail actor emotions in his camera. Barath Vikraman's editing skills are wonderful he perfectly chooses his background color, which is decent.
After giving back-to-back solid hits with movies like Love Today (2022) and Dragon (2025), Pradeep Ranganathan once again appears in Dude, where he plays the Agan role. If you are a fan of Pradeep Ranganathan, one thing you notice is that all the movies he did in the pastvery low budgets, but due to his comedy, he made low-budget movies into blockbusters at the box office. Back to the topic, in the first half, his performance in Dude is super natural comedy dialogues and a little spicy taste of romance; he is successful in winning audiences' hearts.
