Synopsis 

Theeyavar Kulai Nadunga is a story of Magudapathy, a determined and honest inspector in the Chennai Police, who takes on the mysterious murder case of writer Jebanesan. The plot thickens when, on a lonely road in the middle of the night, a mysterious figure dressed in a black suit, black shades, and a black helmet appears a possible killer. But is this the person who murdered Jebanesan, or is there more to the story? And who is Adhi? And Prankster? And how will Magudapathy solve this case?

Nowadays audiences want something new and different, not just old-school acting and thriller and drama movies, so director Dinesh Lakshmanan understands the audience's needs and comes up with Theeyavar Kulai Nadunga, a suspense thriller drama movie where Action King Arjun and Aishwarya Rajesh appear in lead roles.

First half is a mixture of thriller, drama, and suspense, which means the first half is completely filled with suspense. What happens next? Is this a killer or not?  Why is Meera doing this? and more questions, but those questions are answered in the second half. Both halves are connected to each other, while the second half is a combination of drama and action scenes where you see that the audience calls him Action King Arjun. 

After playing Harold Das's role in Leo (2023), Srinivasa Sarja, aka Arjun Sarja, once again appears in Theeyavar Kulai Nadunga (2025), where he plays the Magudapathy role. In the first half, his performance is outstanding, like you are watching a Bollywood movie where the hero solves the mystery of a murder and tries to understand the killer's mindset, with Bharath Aaseevagan's background music adding an extra layer of suspense and creating curiosity about what's happening next.

While second half, Arjun Sarja's performance is decent, but due to the slow pace and unwanted scenes, you feel a little bit monotonous, but it is a part of the movie.

After giving a solid performance in Sankranthiki Vasthunam (2025), Aishwarya Rajesh once again appears in the female lead cast in Theeyavar Kulai Nadunga, where she plays the role of Meera, a schoolteacher and girlfriend of Magudapathy. In the first half, she steals the show with her beauty and soft nature, while in the second half, her dialogue delivery is next level. If you are a fan of her, I recommend it.

No doubt Theeyavar Kulai Nadunga is the first film of director Dinesh Lakshmanan where everything goes right and according to time, which is good, but due to the slow pace and unwanted scenes, especially in the second half, the movie loses lots of its creativity in some scenes.
