Plus Points (+)
After the success of Jersey (2019), Director Gowtam Tinnanuri once again comes back with Kingdom (2025), where he casts Vijay Deverakonda, Satyadev, and Bhagyashri Borse in the lead roles.
The first half is slow-paced and a mixture of drama and emotional scenes, in my personal point of view (POV). The first half is only for those audiences who love drama, but if you're a true fan of Vijay Deverakonda, the second half is only for you, because in the second half, Director Gowtam Tinnanuri adds everything that audiences demand from Vijay Deverakonda, like action, thriller, and emotional drama, where Bhagyashri Borse's performance is watchable.
When I was watching this movie, I suddenly remembered Vijay Deverakonda (2018), Dear Comrade, because in most of the movies, his performance is as a chocolati boy, but only Dear Comrade and Kingdom are those movies where he picks up a gun.
After giving a solid performance in Zebra (2024), Satyadev Kancharana, aka Satyadev, now appears in Kingdom, where he plays the role of Siva (Criminal). In the first half, his performance is decent in the jail, but in the second half, when he knows what his relationship with Soori is, the movie entersthe thriller and action zone.
After mixed reviews of Liger (2022) and The Family Star (2024), Vijay Deverakonda once again appears in Kingdom (2025). In the first half, his performance as a spy agent is decent, but the true action zone unlocks in the second half when things get personal.
Anirudh's soundtrack is next level; it feels like you are watching any type of Hollywood action movie.
Minus Points (-)
After appearing in Mr. Bachchan (2024) and Chandu Champion (2024), Bhagyashri Borse appears in the female lead in the Kingdom, where she plays the role of Dr. Anu. Her performance is watchable, especially in the second half of the movie, but her role is limited on the screen, which is a little bit disappointing for her fans.
The second half is more interesting compared to the first one because in the first half most of the time isintroducing characters, where the pace is slow and some scenes test the audience's patience level, while on the other side, the second half is a perfect mixture of action, thriller, and drama.
