Synopsis
Bhooth Bangla is the story of Arjun Acharya, who lives with his sister Meera and their father in London. Everything runs smoothly, but one day a man arrives with a will from their ancestors, declaring them owners of a Rs 500 crore property and a grand palace in Mangalpur, so Arjun Acharya decides his sister's marriage in this Bangla, but a twist comes in the story when he realizes the hidden truth of this Bangla.

Hello friends, when we think about comedy movies, those movies come to our minds: House Mate (2025), Kudumbasthan (2025),
Dragon (2025) and more, but now director Priyadarshan, who is popular for Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007), Dhol (2007), and De Dana Dan (2009), once again comes with Bhooth Bangla, a comedy, drama, and horror movie where Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Tabu, and Wamiqa Gabbi appear in the lead cast. Many people think that Bhooth Bangla is the sequel of Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007) because most of the cast are the same in both movies, but let me tell you that Bhooth Bangla is a completely different movie where the storyline, dialogues, and horror scenes are all unique and different.
First half is the mixture of comedy, drama, and suspense, where Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, and Rajpal Yadav's acting are the backbone of the movie because the majority of the time they appear on the screen when comedy scenes are arriving. While Wamiqa Gabbi's acting and Tabu's dialogue delivery, especially in the second half, are good enough.
You know that the best thing about this movie is its pure comedy and horror scenes, which are a little bit scary, especially in the first half when they are living in Arjun Acharya's grandfather Victoria's mansion, but most of the time comedy scenes entertain you. Most horror movies are filled with adult scenes, but Bhooth Bangla is this type of movie that you can see with your friends and family because there are zero adult scenes.
One of the two reasons why the Bhooth Bangla movie is trending on social media among Gen Z and millennials is that the majority of the cast appears in this movie and comes from the Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007) movie; only Tabu and Wamiqa Gabbi are outsiders, while the second biggest reason is the reunion of Priyadarshan and Akshay Kumar after 14 years.
After giving back-to-back solid hit movies like Housefull 5 (2026) and Jolly LLB 3 (2025), Khalid Kumar, aka Akshay Kumar, once again comes back with Bhooth Bangla, where he plays the role of Arjun Acharya. In the first half, he steals the show with his comedy timing, while in the second half, his horror scenes make you a little bit scared and laughing. It simply means mixed feelings, while on the flip side, Paresh Rawal as Jagdish Kewalramani and Rajpal Yadav as Sunder are the base of the movie, meaning without them, the movie is incomplete.
